I initially got inspired by some modern jazz band pieces from the likes of The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble and Hidden Orchestra. Eventually I got a pretty consequent collection of drums experiments ready to be added to the core tracks, unfortunately those ended up being too gross for it and were left on the side.

Also, I had planned to make the music a more predominant and modulable feature on this jam than it was on the previous ones I attended, but had to resign halfway through due to lack of time. Even though I like it, in the end I could have done a much better job matching the overall cheerful/chill feel coming from the visuals as it feels like those experiments led me to more melancholic results.

As a note for future projects : invest more time identifying the needs for a specific mood by working alongside the artists beforehand, and don't over experiment; while this is a safe place to fail, this is where your craft could and has to shine.
